Photos of total lunar eclipse seen in the pre-dawn hours on March 14, 2025 from Quincy, MA. A total lunar eclipse aka a blood red moon is seen on a Pi day only once every quite a few blue moons!! Click on images to enlarge.
Eclipse seen from home in Quincy, MA.
RING OF FIRE MEETS BLOOD MOON: I have by using Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro superimposed a photo of yesterday's Pi Day Blood Moon lunar eclipse that I photographed from home onto a photo of the Ring of Fire solar eclipse that I photographed from Albuquerque, NM back on October 14, 2023. Janet Hazen and I saw that solar eclipse on our 17th wedding anniversary and the Pi Day lunar eclipse was exactly 17 months after the solar eclipse.
Page created March 15, 2025, halfway between Pi Day and Square Root of 10 Day which is 03/16/2025.
