IS THERE ANOTHER CURSE OF THE BAMBINO??

I have noticed that a pattern may be emerging. The pattern is that whenever a Major League hitter hits 60 or more home runs in a season, a major disaster hits the US within a few years. The Bambino, Babe Ruth is the first one to hit 60 home runs in 1927. Here's the timeline:

  • 1919 - Babe Ruth traded from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees.
  • 1927 - Babe Ruth of the New York Yankees (sic) hit 60 home runs for the first time in 1927.
    Then.....
    In 1929, the Stock Market on Wall Street in lower Manhattan crashed and the world was in the Great Depression.
  • In 1961, Roger Maris again of the New York Yankees hit 61 home runs.
    Then.....
    In 1962, the US Supreme Court in Washington DC stopped prayer in the US public (or government) schools.
    AND......
    In 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. BTW: The word assassin is derived from a word meaning someone who is an hashish user and there was a secret sect of Islam during the Crusades who terrorized Christians and other enemies and killed them secretly while 'high' on hashish.
    ALSO...
    The US was starting involvement in the Vietnam War - the first war the US will later lose.
  • 1998 - McGwire (St. Louis Cardinals) hit 70 HR and Sosa (Chicago Cubs) 66 HR;
    1999 - McGwire hit 65 HR and Sosa 63 HR;
    2001 - Barry Bonds (San Francisco Giants) had 63 home runs and 121 RBIs (121 = 112 as of September 11th
    WHEN.......
    The World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City and the Pentagon got hit by terrorists using hijacked passenger jets as weapons. At least one of the Twin Towers got knocked down by a hijacked plane that took off from Logan International Airport in Boston - the same city Babe Ruth started to play major league baseball.

These may be coincidences but this is getting eerie!!!
